Gerhard Andersson, Ph.D.

Gerhard Andersson is full professor of Clinical Psychology at Linkoping University, Sweden. He also holds a position as clinical psychologist at the Audiology Deparment, Linkoping University Hospital, where he regularly sees hyperacusis and tinnitus patients. Professor Andersson holds a Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology and a Ph.D. in Medicine (Otorhinolaryngology) from Uppsala University, Sweden, and has published extensively in the field of audiology, psychology and psychiatry. He has over 150 peer reviewed publications and six books, three of which deal with tinnitus. Apart from his own research, professor Andersson is the co-editor in chief of the journal Cognitive Behaviour Therapy and he is the co-founder of the organization International Society for Research on Internet Interventions.
