Jeffrey J. Olson, MD

Jeffrey J. Olson, MD, FACS serves on the faculty of the Neurosurgery Department at Emory University in Atlanta, GA. He obtained his M.D. at the University of Minnesota in Minneapolis and did his neurosurgical residency at the University of Iowa in Iowa City. Thereafter he did a 3 year fellowship with the Surgical Neurology Branch of the NINDS, NIH. His research emphasis is on the use of new and promising therapies for brain tumors in preclinical models with subsequent application in humans. Funded research includes participation in national clinical research groups, regional epidemiologic studies and a study imaging of synthetic amino acids specially suited for tracking brain tumors and their response to treatment.
