Joseph Stemple, PhD

Dr. Stemple is a Professor of Communication Sciences and Disorders in the College of Health Sciences at the University of Kentucky, where he specializes in the study of voice production and voice disorders. His current research involves a translational study of various aspects of the aging voice, including epidemiology, treatment outcomes for voice disorders, and the biology of aging laryngeal muscles. He is the author of textbooks, research articles, and text chapters related to clinical voice disorders. Dr. Stemple is an active national and international speaker and lecturer. He is a Fellow of the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association.
