Judith Maige Wingate, Ph.D., CCC-SLP

Judith Maige Wingate is both a singer and speech pathologist. She holds a bachelor’s degree in music therapy from Charleston Southern University. She received a master’s in speech pathology from the University of South Florida in 1983 and her Ph.D. in speech pathology from the University of Florida in 2004. Dr. Wingate has been active as a voice clinician and specializes in occupational voice disorders and the singing voice. She is currently an assistant clinical professor and the Director of Clinical Education at the University of Florida.

Dr. Wingate continues to perform as a vocal soloist, pianist, and organist. She sings regularly with her church choir in Gainesville. She has toured Europe twice with choral groups and performed recently at Carnegie Hall. Her husband, Owen, is a choral director and singing teacher.
