Larry H. Small, PhD, CCC-A
Larry H. Small, PhD, is associate professor emeritus in the department of Communication Sciences and Disorders at Bowling Green State University (BGSU), where he taught for twenty-four years. While at BGSU, he served as the Director of the University Honors Program (1991-1996) and was Chair of the Department from 2003-2007. He was on the Executive Board of the Council of Academic Programs in Communication Sciences and Disorders (CAPCSD) from 2007-2011, serving as President from 2009-2010. Dr. Small is an adjunct professor at Ohio State University where he has taught part-time in the AuD program for nine years. Over the last thirty years, Dr. Small has taught courses at the undergraduate and graduate levels in phonetics, hearing science, diagnostic audiology and aural rehabilitation. He has authored or co-authored numerous presentations and publications. His textbook, Fundamentals of Phonetics: A Practical Guide for Students is currently in its fourth edition.
