Paula J. Myers, PhD

Paula Myers, Ph.D. is an audiologist and former teacher of the Deaf and Deaf-Blind. She works as Chief of the Audiology Section and Cochlear Implant Coordinator at the James A. Haley VA Hospital. She has been employed at the Tampa VA for 23 years. Her research focuses on the development of patient health education programs and materials, standardized protocols for clinical assessment and management of tinnitus, and blast injury and auditory dysfunction. She is an Assistant Professor for the Department of Communication Sciences and Disorders at University of South Florida, Adjunct Professor for the Sign Language Interpreter Training Program at Hillsborough Community College and Chair of VA Southern Region Audiology Professional Standards Board and VA Audiology Patient Education Workgroup.
