Accessibility Statement
Plural Publishing, Inc. is committed to providing accessible digital content and continually improving the usability of our products for all learners. We are actively working to align our publishing practices with WCAG 2.1 AA guidelines and to support equitable access across our digital platforms and materials.
As part of this effort, accessibility considerations have been incorporated into our current product development workflows. New titles and digital resources are being developed with accessibility in mind, and we are implementing an ongoing process to review and improve our backlist content over time.
We recognize that some existing content and platforms do not yet fully meet WCAG 2.1 AA standards. Our accessibility initiatives are currently focused on:
- Developing new digital content with improved accessibility features
- Reviewing and remediating legacy content on a rolling basis
- Prioritizing updates based on user needs, course adoption, and institutional requests
- Evaluating and enhancing our digital delivery platforms and companion websites
We are committed to continuous improvement and are working with our technology partners to address known accessibility limitations.
In addition to our proprietary eReader, our academic eBooks are also available through third-party platforms such as VitalSource and Kortext. These platforms may offer additional accessibility features, such as enhanced navigation tools and text-to-speech functionality, depending on the user’s device and settings.
Alternative Format Requests
Plural Publishing works directly with campus disability and accessibility offices to provide accessible versions of our content when needed. If a student requires an alternative format, the Disability Office representative can submit a request at https://www.pluralpublishing.com/about/alternative-format-requests.
