Linda I. Rosa-Lugo
Linda I. Rosa-Lugo is an Associate Professor in the School of Communication Sciences and Disorders and Associate Dean in the College of Health Professions and Sciences at the University of Central Florida. She has been the Principal Investigator of two USDOE/OSEP collaborative grants, and Co-PI and Coordinator of two additional USDOE, OSEP Grants that prepares SLPs to provide services to English Learners with communication disorders, listening and spoken language in children with hearing loss who come from linguistically diverse homes and language and literacy. She is the Director of the UCF Listening Center. She is an ASHA Fellow, recipient of the ASHA Certificate in Multicultural Contributions, and Outstanding Contributions in International Achievement. Her research interests include language and literacy development in Hispanic youngsters who are deaf/hard of hearing, first and second language acquisition in English learners, personnel preparation, and service delivery with individuals with hearing loss across the life span.
